speakTECH User Experience Practice is a multidisciplinary team that provides design, branding and strategy services helping teams define how the businesses speakTECH works with extend their reach into internet and software applications. Many of our projects integrate Information Architects, Designers, Branding Specialists, Copy Writers and User Interface Engineers with Software Developers to meet business and user needs.


 

User Experience (UX) is crucial in software development -- it is the glue that connects development, branding and business requirements. This role is important because UX team members are responsible for translating user and business requirements into a pleasant and profitable experience, and that will make your project a success.

The three phases of the User Experience process

speakTECH’s User Experience team is involved in all aspects of developing the product, but divides the UX process into three phases:

  • Envision – taking an idea and turning it into wireframes, mockups and prototypes so there is a visual representation that can be evaluated
  • Creation – design and creation of site content during application or website development
  • Acceptance – testing the design of the product against users, and making recommendations of how to improve the system once initial development is complete

Early involvement in the development process is crucial because the User Experience team can help keep both the client and developers focused on producing a viable and usable product.
